Currently the focus of our campaigning is two fold. Firstly to ask for a renewed effort from the NHS and the UK Governments to encourage women to attend for regular smear tests, and second to ask that a national school based Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) immunisation programme is introduced as soon as possible. It has been proven that HPV infection is the primary cause of nearly 100% of cervical cancers and the new HPV vaccines have been shown to be 100% effective against the HPV types 16 & 18 that cause over 70% of cervical cancers. If you wish to help lobby the Governments in the UK then please click here. A template message to your own elected representatives is provided, this may be altered to include your own opinions, questions and experiences. |
