Decision to keep the cervical screening age in England at 25

Jo's Trust campaigns to influence Governments in Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland and England by lobbying all politicians (MPs, AMs, MLAs and MSPs) to support best practice, treatment and care.

Our recent campaign called for the age for cervical screening in England to be reduced from 25 to 20, as it is in the rest of the UK. We were extremely disappointed that the decision was taken to keep the age at 25.

However, despite this decision we have not given up and will continue to campaign for this change. You can help by writing to your MP at the House of Commons, using the template letter provided below or on-line through our campaign software in the right hand column.

When writing please include your personal story if relevant and make clear that you wish your MP to support a reduction in the screening age in England and make the Minister aware of this support.
